I'm installing a bathroom light which incorporates a shaver socket - its double insulated, class 2.
I'd like to feed it from a ring which just happens to be under the floor in the right area.
Can I do this using a FCU? The FCU can be fitted in or under a bathroom cupboard. Does the FCU need to be an RCD type?
Incidentally there is no earth connection - I'm assuming the fitting doesn't need to be bonded - am I right to assume this? (not that I could anyway with no earth connection).
Thanks in anticipation

The cpc will still need to be bonded to extraneous conductive parts, this could be done by running a 4mm earth from the FCU. The FCU would need to be in or outside zone 3 and readily accessible.

Thanks for the reply. Does the FCU need to be an RCD type?
