bathroom worktop

I have brought 2 metres of wood effect laminate to put on my bathroom units 1 350mm one 500mm sink unit 500mm toilet unit 2 25mm cupboards. How do you attach the worktop to the units? the sink goes to the wall and if you put it under there will be a gap between sink and unit so is it screwed into the units or no nails ditto.

Right angle metal brackets are normally used to attach worktop to unit or can be screwed thru top of units depends on design.
