Hiya,

We are having our bathroom re-done in a few weeks and I was just wondering what is the done thing these days re tiling around the bath. The bath will be dual purpose so shower as well.

I don't know why but I seem to remember seeing this sort of setup where for the shower end it was bath to ceiling, then for the other end it was just a few tiles up from the bath.

Is that right, or is it bath to ceiling all the way round?

Thanks

Depends on how many walls are around the bath, but tile all the way, save damaging the walls with water.

Its often done the way you have seen by housebuilders to save cost. its only a couple of square metres but over a lot of houses it makes a big difference to their costs.
Honesty i'd tile the lot everytime, and use a good bathroom paint on the ceiling.
