Hello all, Im trying to install 2 wooden batons under the rim of my new bath and the problem that I am having is that the walls have been dot and dabbed with plaster board. When I try to drill into the wall im just hitting the cavity inbetween the board and the wall even with long screws. Any tips on how to secure the batons securely? I dont like the idea of spring clips as they never seem to tighten fully. would you normally stick the baton to the wall with no nails mastick just to hold it in place then run batons underneath it down to the floor to support it or is there a more logical way and Im being a complete numpty:-) Many thanks.

Consider hollow wall anchors (Screwfix 18266) - if the wall is messed up, some no nails grab adhesivve will help too.
John :)
