Baxi 105e heating not working and kids cold :(

Right, tried this. Why does this work?

Switched off at main switch and ran cold tap until water ran cold.

Then turned main switch back on and central heating works fine.

????

I think he means that if the boiler is warm the CH doesn't fire.??
Check the CH thermistor.

Most likely to be the digistat. If the fault is intermittent or can be reset by turning the boiler off all together, the only way to find out for sure is bridging the connector for the stat on the boiler and run it for a week on manual.

same as chrisr, check the thermistor, should read about 10K-12K when cold, sometimes best to replace both stat at the same time.
