Hi,

I had a leak where the pipes join the heat exchanger. I removed and cleaner the heat exchanger refitting with 4 new seals.

The leak is much less now but still leaking. The heat exchange is flat and securely in place. I can’t see why it’s still leaking.

Wondering whether to repeat again with another set of new seals or maybe but some type of sealant around the seals etc.

Any ideas please?

Thanks
Adam

Usually the reason they leak is if the plate isn't sitting straight onto the block or the seals aren't sitting correctly, first off try a little silicone grease on the seals and tighten screws evenly

Which heat exchanger ? your boiler has two ? Main heat exchanger at the top, and DHW heat exchanger at the bottom
