Baxi 80 Eco problem

its so good it will take you 24 hours on hold to get through then you have to wait 2 weeks for an engineer :wink: and hope to god theres only one fault with your boiler
 
I have not checked the wiring diagram but I thought the built in clock was in series with the external thermostat.

If so then ( ignoring inductance or capacitance effects on the cabling ) the boiler would not know where the switch off occured.

Just to let you know the outcome:

I decided on the HeatTeam option for a 'guaranteed' fix.

They attented the day after the fault was reported, and changed the gas valve and PCB. This was a week ago, and so far so good!
