no. with system full , turn flow side of rad off and crack the nut on the return side to allow water and air out of return.

Cheers will try this before i do anything else, just to clarify things. Should i turn off the rads that are working ok and just do this to the two that aint working

no 2 i would say its the diverter valve. no 3 same as 1.

It does sound like it is all down to the same cause though, poor installation, no flush, no inhibitor.
Apparently there were so many installers not doing this that Baxi for a while included a bottle in the boiler supply. Or so I was told at the course.
Try the downstairs rads for tell tale “half moons”, if there are, flush or better, powerflush. I think this model has no problem with fx2, and there is no better way of getting limescale out of the whole system including main and second hex.

Had one case last year where I thought I was getting daft.
Replaced the pump, made it decidely better but not perfect.
Finally located where some dimwit had connected the flow and return. Impossible to get to as it was just that bit of floor where the fire proof admin storage was. Repiped 2 rads, and bob was still not my uncle. The moron had done the same on the next floor.
Customer must have thought I had Loret syndrome or whatever it is called.

Been back this week changed the secondary heat exchanger as per Baxi technical still the same, returned with a Diverter valve replaced that and still the same the pump proving switch is not making in DHW mode.
Rang Baxi again they said there must be a blockage in the brass manifolds inside the boiler removed these and checked these were clean.
Im at my wits end with it anyone any ideas?
One thing i did spot when i was there was a previous engineer had fitted a pump but it was a Ideal pump only ther thing i can think of now is the pump aint strong enough, although it heats the rads fine... please anyone got any ideas.

I don’t trust anything that comes from ideal, nor would I trust someone who put an ideal pump in another brand.

The plate heat ex seemed ok as i'd already cleaned it out with DS-40 but Baxi guy says oh it may have little bit of blockage, diverter had black sludge debris on it but the system seems sludgy any way. But ive stripped everything out and checked its clear so its now got me like.
Surely the pump must be ok if its pumping to heating and making the flow swich on heating too. Its doing my head in, ive recommended changing the pump or getting baxi in for a fixed price repair.
