I have a volt meter to test for a current

Well i've done what i can now.

I'm leaving it.

i'm cold and hungry, so i'll just stick oven on, kill two birds with one stone. and hope this guy tomorrow will sort it out. if not i'll be looking for someone in south manchester (if anyone has any ideas)

Right guys.

The Combi boiler is fixed, we now have warmth and hot water.

It was in deed a replacement part that was needed, as in the first pic that was posted, the pressure had burst and popped the thermostat out,
the hole was pinprick sized, but managed to fill a lunchbox over night
