hi could anybody shed some light on this fault.Hot water tap turned on ,nothing happens at boiler apart from click.Tap the boiler on any part of pipe work or casing boiler works fine.Could this be a flow switch problem thanks peter,

thanks for the reply, what will this show me,will it cut out the burner and what is the best way to short it thanks pete

It will bring the boiler on line if you electrically by-pass the flow switch.

Safer still you could test it with a multimeter for open or closed circuit.

Remember Electricity Bites

the baxi has two flow switch one on the cold feed a nd one behind the diverter valve. The one behind this valve is dhw ?Thanks for all your help pete

test them both with the multimeter takes seconds.

x4 on the control board 3-4 is for HTG and 1-2 is for DHW

Probably the ch flow switch sticking closed circuit, the boiler checks this before it does anything and if stuck closed circuit it wont do anything.

thanks everyone for the help.i will try this on monday.on the flow switch one end of multi meter to neutrual and the other on flow switch thank you all peter

You just need to test for open or closed circuit as posted above
