Having a combi boiler replaced soon, received 3 quotes:

First 2 quotes recommended Worcester Bosch (yet mentioned they repair a lot of Worcester's - doesn't give me much confidence). Felt like they may be getting more profit from the Worcesters, I don't know.

Last quote recommended Baxi.

All come with 10 year warranty.

Anyone had any experience of the recent Baxi 830 model or Baxi in general?

@gas112 is your man to answer this, although he may recommend a Main (same group) - cheaper slightly less warranty. Worcester firm could be accredited installers, which they have a vested interest to fit Worcester boilers.

Gas engineers round here like Baxi for their reliability. At the moment when my Vaillant is replaced a Baxi is my likely replacement.

Baxi or Ideal are well made, good boilers. Easy to work on and service so I’ve heard plumbers say

They are established brands, parts are widely available and will be well supported for many years.

Main boiler is just a Baxi with a different name badge and lower guarantee.

If it was me I’d choose a boiler that can have weather compensation, it is really worthwhile. I chose the Ideal vogue over the Baxi as it offers 2 different flow temps for hot water priority and weather comp (hot water priority not relevant for a combi)

Baxi do have a weather comp sensor

The baxi original baxi 830 is still available as the baxi platinum compact which in my opinion is a better boiler than the new 830 still comes with a ten year warranty .
But the new 830 is still a good boiler just not as installer friendly
