I have been waiting for control board part number 5107535 from interpart for over 3 weeks now.
Because its a Powermax 85HE fitted in an awkward place replacement of the boiler/unvented cyl set-up would be very expensive. The poor tenant has children and is really having a hard time with no hot water or heating.

When my supplier calls Baxi they are very apologetic when they tell us they have no 'lead in' date which translated means that they don't know when they are getting the parts in.

I've just been through a similar scenario with them waiting for a Robertshaw gas valve for an Andrews water heater. [Andrews are also part of Baxi] Eventually and luckily I traced a UK supplier myself for this part and that job is now sorted.

I can't find a way round this powermax control board though so I am thinking of bringing this to the attention of the CEO which I believe is Martyn Coffey. Does anyone have his address ?

Without citing other bad experiences it seems to me that since they won an award for the DuoTec they have been sitting on their laurels and not giving a monkeys about their customers and the installers who are losing faith in their brand.

I suppose if you did not reside in Pakistan a local Heateam engineer may have been able to assist..................

Robertshaw gas valve now well over 30 years old where only fitted to a very limited number of appliances and have been dificult to get hold of for years.

I would not blame baxi too much for that .

the robertshaw solenoid can be repaired strip it down its a little disc that comes off the back of the arm and can be super glued back on and have had them last anothe ten years

The online suppliers all list that PCB.

Have you called them to see if any have one in stock?

I find AK gas spares particularly helpful.
