Hello
We have a Baxi Solo 2 40PF, the pilot light has gone out and we can not see any way to relight it.

We have never had a problem before. We recently bled the radiators, it was alll working fine for a couple of weeks but now has stopped.

The timer device still seems to work, there are no lights on the boiler unit at all, although I don't think they were ever working. We have tried to follow the user instruction and have tried to reset (turing the dial to 0, leaving for a time then turning on again) - we can hear the fan come on, but there are no ignition sparks.

Is there anyway of relighting the pilot light ourselves??

Many thanks - any advice really appreciated its looking like a cold christmas!

If the fan comes on but then nothing happens there is a fault in the boiler on either the fan , the air pressure switch or the pcb, which is telling the boiler it is not safe to light so it wont spark. there is no manual way to light the boiler

Hi Tomy
thank you very much for your speedy advice, much appreciated, we will get a engineer in
LW

Visually check the air pressure tubes are not kinked and that the plastic elbow on the top of the air switch is not split, check that the flue outlet is not blocked/restricted and also check the electrode lead is on firmly, could save you a few quid!

The neons on the PCB should tell you whether the PCB thinks it's trying to light the pilot

Last time I levered the front of one of these cans, one of the pressure hoses had split and fallen off.

A quick snip and away she goes.
