bearing gone on wma 50p

hi guys , i think the baring has gone on my hotpoint wma50P , it makes a dreadful noise on spin, when i took the top off there was a trace of oil all round the machine. how do i get to this part as the back does not come off this machine only the front and is it worth fixing or new machine ?

drum comes out of the front .drum is then split in half .drift bearings out with a drift and hammer or bearing puller .will take you a good 3 /4 hrs to do ,sometimes the bearing will not budge it will need a rear drum half .you can call hotpoint out ,all in charge 100.00 or scrap it .

thanks for that i will phone them tomorrow,not worth the hassle of buying the part then trying to fix it . thanks

make sure you tell them you bought it in nov 2004 to claim under 5 years parts or they will charge you 120.. .also tell them to order part num 1605082 and 1604290 drum rear half and drum surport , they are not carried on the van otherwise he will have to come back another day
