Bearings for Hoover Dynamic Next 9Kg

Hello All.

It sounds as though my Hoover Dynamic Next 9Kg Washing Machine needs new bearings as it sounds louder than usual on high spin and there is a grinding type feel when spinning the inner drum by hand.

What bearings and anything else do I need to get to replace the drum bearings to bring it back to a normal sounding spin please?

Thanks

Some bearings are replaceable, others you have to fit a complete new drum, including bearings, to work out which - you need the actual model number. If the bearings are replaceable, you need a complete bearing kit, both bearings, plus seals. Either way, it involves taking the drum out. Bearing kit, £20 to £30, drum complete around £120 to £150. If you can find a bearing kit for sale, obviously they are replaceable.

Thank you Harry.

Yes, I will have a look to find the model number tomorrow as it will be on the back and it is a pain to get the WM out!

The Model Number is DXOA 69LW3-80 and it isn't anywhere to be found on the machine!!

No where online does it tell me if I can replace just the bearing set or that I have to purchase a whole new drum that includes the bearings.
I have complained to Hoover as I tried their telephone line, online chat and email. All coming to absolutely nothing. We'll see what they have to say!

The only thing I can find is two versions of complet drum assembly. One at £140 and the other at £200.

I had to replace the circuit board about a year or so ago, so I don't particlularly get a brand new washing machine right now.

Any advice would be very gratefully recieved.

Even if you could find replacement bearings i would imagine that you would destroy the tub gaining access to them. Use the EAN number and alternative part numbers in product description section to confirm this is the correct part for your machine. If their is no slop in the inner drum when you try to move it up/down or side to side then I wouldn't worry about the noise. They all get louder with age. Also have you spun it by hand with the belt off. The grinding/noise may be coming from somewhere else.

Thanks Harry for looking.

I can't find any bearings as I don't know their part number.

Thanks JJ.

When spinning the drum by hand, there is a slight bit of play with a touch of grinding. That link you gave me (thanks) is the one of the parts I have already searched.

yes, that was my thoughts also.

I am waiting for a reply from Hoover as I got an email today from them, giving me no answer whatsoever!

Absolutely useless service.

Safe to say, my email was not a postive one!
