Problem with Indesit Washine Machine Model W143SUK as when its on its spin Cycle it sounds like a jet engine.

Taken the rear cover to examine the drum and when spun theres a grinding sound. Is this the inner drum rubbing against the outer housing or the bearings need replacing. Doesn't sound or feel that its the bearings as there is no free play.

Any Advise greatly appriecated

Growler

spin it by hand from the drum the clothes go in then what haapens

Just before you do the bearings, check with wife that she hasn't lost a bra wire. I had one stuck between the drums, just enough sticking through hole inside drum to get some pliers on it.
But as said, probably your bearings......

Bearings are housed in an external spider on rear of outer tub.
Pulley bolt, normally something like a T40 torx, loctited in place.
8 torx bolts around outside of tub hold the spider in place.
