Beko fridge freezer making cracking noise

I have a beko frost free fridge freezer which keeps on making a cracking noise. I was told when i bought it that this does happen and it will stop but it has'nt.
It does this around 5 times a night.
I have also noticed that the fridge produces ice at the back of it even when it is on a low setting.

any advice for a "moderate DIY'er" will be great

make sure it is adjusted to the correct temperature (about -18C i believe)

test if the doors close with a tight seal all round - put a bit of paper between the door and the frame and try to pull it out - do this all round. A poor seal will allow moist air to enter and create ice.

check that you have no unwrapped food items in the freezer as it will suck moisture out of them
