Best combi boiler? Popular, reliable, compact

as title. Since my potterton puma 80 is getting old, I'm going to start planning for replacement. Top wants on my list would be a boiler that is reliable, well made, popular (so common faults will be well known amongst plumbers) and compact - it is for a very space-limited london flat, so smaller is preferred.

So what's hot, and what's not, in the world of boilers these days?
