I need to paint a small room tomorrow, white matt emulsion, walls & ceiling only, I can only get to B&Q/Homebase/Wickes, any recommendations? It only needs to last a couple of years, and 2 coats max (one would be FAR better) are all I can manage.

I see I can spend anywhere from £5 to £40, but there are now so many brands & types I really am lost!

much TIA

I stumbled upon some Crown Covermatt obliterating emulsion and was very impressed with the coverage, that was from a diy shop.

Thanks, I shall bear that in mind next time.

Ended up with Wickes BW Vinyl Matt, £11 for 5 litres, coverage was about half what the tin says, but it doesn't look like I need a second coat, just a few edges to touch up.

Recommended.

For future reference Wickes trade is the mutts! 15l for £21 (white) covers better than dulux/crown!
