Hi

I am building a partition wall in our detached double garage to house a reptile house.
The exterior walls are double skinned up to about 70% of the wall height.
I am using 38mm x 89mm timber for the stud wall.
We will eventually be putting a door into this area from the exterior of the garage and an internal door into the garage area.

We are on a bit of a budget so I was trying to find out what that best value insulation is as celotex is so so expensive.
I was also hoping to insulate the exterior walls of the new walled area.

I have confirmed with building regs that these changes do not require an application

Hi,

In Glasgow we have a specialist insulation company - Malcolm insulation, who sell a pir board identical to celotex but much cheaper. It's called ballytherm

I got 28m sq for about 200 shillings of 50mm board which seems good value even to a Scotsman :)

Maybe see if there is an insulation co near you?
