Thinking ahead a bit here, but by time I've insulated, boarded and tiled my bathroom walls, I think the gap will be about 174cm where my bath is going. What is the best way to fill that gap? Bit of wood screwed to wall, with strip of tile backer, tanked, tiled? Or something else?

Actually saw something today that gave me an idea - there's a stone worktop business nearby and I bought an off-cut a few years ago from them - might ask if they have any thin offcuts once the bath is in and I know the exact size. Although, might end up a bit too expensive as most of the cost is probably in the cutting and polishing.

Look in their skip.
I've built coffee tables with their offcuts.
For something nicer, a £50 note gets you smooth bullnose edges.
