Im trying to change our garden and want a quick way of killing a lawn?

Is the best way to do the usual weedkiller in watering can and spray it? does Roundup work ok for lawns?? (it says so on the can)

Thanks

sodium chlorate ( or whatever it's called.. )
it's effectively salt.. it kills everything indiscriminately and leaves the soil infertile for years to come.. if applied in a high enough concentration..
(ever hear the expression "salting the earth"?)

it also might leech out sideways and mess up your borders etc..

use round up. it is sysemic and will not poison the soil, like sodium chlorate will

Yes would prefer Roundup... Already done a mix of that and water as per instructions with the watering can, so just have to wait...

I should explain that my other half does want to plant into the ground afterwards so Sodium Chlorate maybe a bit drastic?

I'll send my kids round, a weekend of them playing on it, there'll be nowt left !!! ;)
