better carpet edging strip tile to carpet

hi, has anyone please got any ideas for a cheap fix for this ?
its over 2m long
the metal part only goes over the tiles, the carpet is frayed, ive seen z strips on ebay, dont think they would cover the frayed part though.
I was wondering about getting a normal slightly curved one, drilling through the existing and screwing it down.

The carpet is frayed and the tiles are cracked.
Both require replacement.
There isn't anything which will cover those.

You want a large Z bar , won’t be perfect but will trap the carpet edge in.
