This boiler was installed in August 2005. Since then, we have had 2 replacement microchip electronic cards (so we are on the 3rd). They seem to be incapable of lasting more than a couple of years. A month ago the pump went and there was no gas pressure. 2 weeks ago it was replaced. This morning, the lights were flashing again red with left yellow and no gas pressure and no hot water.

Has anyone else experienced similar problems? Twice in one month says to me that the boiler and/or pump is not fit for the job. I am at my wits end with the boiler and becoming totally frustrated with it. The cost of the parts is a total rip-off. I wish we had never changed the boiler in the first place.

I assume that this boiler is new and still in Warranty??
if so call the manufacturer and get them out

Riva is a cheap to buy boiler, which means poor quality and expensive spare parts - thats how they make their money!!

How can a boiler installed in 2005 still be under warrantee?

This model is one of the most reliable models ever sold.

Who has been doing your repairs?

Can you give an example of the prices you have been charged from an invoice?

Last year we would have charged £234 to diagnose the fault and supply and fit a new PCB.

Pumps only normally fail with dirty system water. The dirt is the owner/installer's and not the boiler maker's.
