Hi I will be putting down some laminate flooring in my new extension which is around 5m by 5m plus this will encompass an already existing dining room.

The question here is where to start?

The footprint has many bits that i will need to cut around and although there is an opportunity to start from one side and move across, its going to be tricky as there is an archway.

My thoughts are to screw a length of timber the whole length of the room and then work from that.

Not too sure what the easiest method is when working both left and right.

Work to the room.

Ensure your first 3 layers are square to the wall.

First layer might need to be cut to ensure you don't finish with less than a 30% board width.
