Seems to be spreading everywhere, places here running black friday deals too. Ill wait until closer to Christmas, panic and pay more at the last minute thank you very much.

At least it gave us a couple of easy days in work with with the yanks off rather then cracking the whip.

Indeed. A couple of the Czechs in work were up in arms about Halloween which has made its way over here. Closest things to Halloween traditionally are the day of the dead were you visit your relatives graves and Masopust in March which is a much better tradition where you dress up and go from house to house and the neighbours give you cakes and Slivovice(some plum distilled rocket fuel).

Its mad the lengths they go to on black Friday when you see them stampeding into shops for a few cheap deals.

You guys are making me think we should have an Anti-American Cultural Contamination Society. We could the ban Black Friday, Trick or Treat, the use of "train station" and the red uniformed father Christmas (thank you Coca-Cola)....... Bah, humbug!
