Black vs red/terracotta tiles

It would appear that red/terracotta tiles get very dirty with time and look very dark. Whereas black tiles hold their colour better. As there are tile shortages I have found a source of "natural red" colour tiles, whereas my original preference is black, but I am worried that they will lose their bright colour very quickly. For example the original colour of these tiles is orange/terracotta.

My neighbour has terracotta coloured double roman tiles 4yrs old which have black streaks on them.
My roof, charcoal double roman which has green streaks on them...2yrs old.
