Three weeks ago, my cat was run over. We couldn't find him for hours, and looked everywhere for him. Eventually, we found him curled up in a linen box under our bed, bleeding heavily from a badly crushed tail.
We took him to the vet, who amputated it, and kept him in to see how he progressed. He had X-rays, blood tests, and all manner of other checks. It was touch and go because we thought he had damaged his spinal cord, and the nerve to the bladder controlling urination. If this was the case, he would either have to be put down, or face a lifetime of having his bladder squeezed to empty it.
Anyway, he's home now, and back to his usual self. The bill? £1000....
Oh, and the vet says they have a name for what happened to him.
Apparently they call it ROBO.
Yes, Mrs Secure was driving the car that hit him......
