I need to drill and tap a radiator bleed nipple (snapped inside) does anyone know the tap size and thread type required (bsp, whitworth etc), Cheers.

There all different unfortunaty. If you have a set of taps and other rads are same. Verify tap size on other rad and try and drill out snapped bit. You then have prob of obtaining nip. If you cant get nip and can drill out snapped and are happy with seal, replace the smallest rad in house and use nip from it to replace broken one. Bear in mind that rads are not that expensive. You could spend hours messing about!

is the bleed pin in the rad itself or in a bigger plug that can be simply removed ( sorry if it is a daft question but you never know!!)

It s the one that goes straight into the rad 21" x 61" dp. I want to try and drill and tap first, if it goes t*ts up nowt lost eh. Got a temp ptfe covered screw in at the mo but dont want to leave too long.
