Hi. I replaced the diverter valve on my system today. I partially drained the system and when the diverter valve was dry, stopped draining. Once installed I filled the system again, bled those radiators that needed bleeding and all worked fine for a couple of hours. then the boiler stopped working. I assumed that air must have go into the system somewhere, so I forced mains pressure water from the drain valve on lowest point of the system and let the water run for some time right out to the header tank overflow. I have a drain valve just above the boiler, so I also tapped into this and drained the water out hoping that the mains water pressure would blow out any air in the boiler. I did this with the heating on and off but alas the boiler still wont kick into action. Any ideas what I can do?

Hi Gas Man Gaz. No it doesn't fire up at all. Where would I find the overheat trip so that I can check it?

underneath the boiler, should be a round hole cut out of the plastic electrics cover (its a red button)

Hi Gaz,
I found the overheat switch, underneith the boiler near the control knob and yes, it had tripped out. I have reset it and everything started working again. I'll keep an eye on it and see if it stays working.
THanks very much for your help Gaz. Much appreciated.
