Hi all,

I'm planning on adding a short block paver apron between the footpath and my gravel driveway. My question is about how I keep the pavers in position given that they'll be driven over regularly.

The pavers are only 50mm thick and so I don't think that simply haunching them where they meet the gravel will keep them in place. I guess that laying the final course of pavers on a bed of mortar and also haunching would help but I'm still not convinced. The haunching would only be able to sit about 25mm up the back of the pavers.

What do people reckon? I wondered if supporting the last course of pavers against a long section of concrete edging bedded into mortar and sat slightly below the top of the pavers (so gravel can hide it) would work?

Cheers,
Jack
