Hi,
I have acquired 1200 paving bricks and want to pave over my existing patio laying bricks onto a thin bed of sand.
I am aware that any new layer needs to remain 150mm below my DPC however the patio does not join the external walls of my property. It begins 6" away from my external walls and is surrounded by a narrow trench of pebbles (I assume for drainage).
Does it still need to be 150mm below the DPC if it does not come into contact with the house at any point?
