Can anyone tell me how to unblock a cast iron downpipe?

Water is pouring from the gutter below the main roof guttering (like on a porch) , the lower gutter joins into a downpipe stating from above so has a couple of angles in it.

There is no drain in the ground, and it seems that the pipe just disappears into the floor (as it does all round the building).

What is the best way to do this? do the pipes come apart to make it easier?

Cheers

Downpipes only block at the top or at the bottom.

It is either a tennis ball or some leaves in the gutter outlet, or some grunge at ground level.

9/10 times it is blocked at the gutter outlet or hopper

A bamboo stick and a hose should sort it
