Hi guys, i have a blocked downpipe from my house roofs guttering and rainwater seeps badly from a joint in the downpipe about a metre an a half up from where the downpipe goes below ground. I suspect its blocked by lumps of moss. Any tips on the best method to try and unblock it myself would be very welcome. this is my first ever question on here so hoping for some useful help. cheers

I have this same problem from time to time and the way I sort it is to remove the down pipe and hose out (if necessary with a jet wash spray) the blockage over the garden.
Mind you, I live in a bungalow. Removing a down pipe two storeys high might be less convenient!

You can sometimes clear a swan-neck by tapping the off set bends.
