Blue thing in Ideal Standard tap pack

John D may be the closest? These are expensive taps, they may have this fuctionality.

The manufacturers instructions were all pictures, possibly designed so that it didn't matter where in Europe you were from. No pictures of this part at all. No written instructions.

Today asked at a large builders merchant. They had no idea. I'll have to go to the manufacturer Monday to find out its use. Meanwhile install the tap without it!

Thanks for all your help guys.

Does the tap outlet have a screw in filter with notches in it ?

KMeeres, you're so close! :D

Have heard from the manufacturer today, who say's 'It's a key to remove the spray nozzle for cleaning or changing'. Great pity that they couldn't have given some sort of clue to this in the instructions!

Many thanks to you all.

Thanks for the feedback.

I'll bet it's a universal key for a lot of their taps, hence the diffrent profiles on each side.

thanks for the feedback. You've potentially saved some of us looking like t1ts when we someday come across one :D
