Bluetooth and Aux In together?

Hi all,

We are having our kitchen/diner remodeled and extended. We loved listening to Alexa for music in our old kitchen but the new room is quite sizeable so we are looking at some Bluetooth ceiling speakers.

That's straight forward enough but we have also been donated a projector but again it's built in 5w speaker is a bit lacking but it only has an aux out socket by means of an external connection.

The amp on the Bluetooth speakers does have an aux in socket but as soon as it is connected it cuts out the Bluetooth.

I was hoping to have everything concealed in the ceiling void so plugging and unplugging the aux cable every time isn't really an option.

I was also hoping to have seamless switching between the two devices without having to mess around reconnecting or repairing something.

Would appreciate it if anyone had any ideas or could tell me if what I'm after isn't possible.

Many thanks.

I have a tiny amp that only has Aux in and Bluetooth but as soon as the Bluetooth is stopped the aux source works and vice versa. Do your speakers not work in the same way? Otherwise what's the point in having both connections?
