I have tried searching the forum for answers but nothing certain. I have multi-fuel stoves in the house now, which has sort of rendered the central heating redundant. Is it possible to replace the current combi for one that just does hot water in the same fashion as now, eg, turn hot tap on and boiler kicks in?

Just use the combi that you already have and as Dan says install 1 rad as a heat dump

If existing combi is working ok why not keep it?

it is working ok, but I was just thinking as and when, it is not the newest boiler, about 12 years old. good to know that I can when the time comes, but as you chaps say, i'll use it because its ok. cheers.

The Intergas Dan has suggested, or for more power a Worcester Greenspring (assuming your mains flow rate and budget are up to it!)
