Does a 10mm earth need to be run to oil boiler or not? All other incoming main incomers eg water/oil are already done in 10mm earth. There ain't at boiler but been told it should be? But then also been told there doesn't need to be? Bit confused so thought i'd see what the thoughts were on here. Thanks.

Metallic services need PE bonding at entry.

if boilers require anything, it will be supplementary, but have a look at the manufacturers installation instructions: some don't need supplementary as there is a gurt metal plate connecting the pipework together.

My new gas boiler installed at the same time as new electrics only has an earth connected on the gas pipe below the boiler and not 'at entry'.

Is this OK?

BTW No other earthing as incoming water main is plastic as is all the internal water and heating pipework.

No
Your gas pipe should have main protective bonding connected to the main earthing terminal. It should be fitted within 600mm of the service meter or at the point of entry into the building if the service meter is external and must be on the consumer's side and before any branch work.
