boiler not working

I have a boiler that stays on constantly - i thought the problem was the timer/programmer so have re wired another one and the timer works fine - but the boiler doesnt respond to it and just stays constantly on - does anybody know what the problem might be???

Yes.
There is a fault. It always happens with your make and model of boiler. Is this yet another spoof question ?

heh heh - sorry just thought it might be a common problem with most boilers. i'll come back with the make and model of boiler.

would imagine that somewhere along the line you have missed the switches and wired the pump and boiler to permanent live....need to see it to sort it though.
