boiler not working

I have a Poterton Suprima boiler which has a permanent amber light on.

I have checked the manual and it says that this means the mains are on but it is not calling for for external heat.

Anyone have any ideas on how i can get my heating back on?

how new is it ,is it on a sealed system ?

Do you have a motorised valve controlling the flow to radiators and/or cylinder? What type?

Unbelievable, had replies within an hour or so and couldn't be ars*d to get back. Why do people bother?

Sorry but i had to go out.

i have turned the stat up,but no change .

the cylinder is a santon premier and the pump is a wilo gold 50.

it is 4 years old.
