As the boiler locally via a fuse spur is protected by a 3 amp fuse and fed via a 2.5mm cable on its own radial ciruit, would it be right to assume its fine to be protected via a 6amp mcb without rcd?

Just checking an existing installation

Any help appreciated as the boiler is installed on a 16amp mcb at the moment. Is it fine to use a 6amp?

2.5mm supplied via 6A or 16A MCB is fine (even without RCD) if existing installation to 16th or surface cables (etc) to 17th. So long as local fused spur is 3A then theres nothing wrong with it.
