Evening all

Our boiler dial was showing over pressure (+3bar) and the PRV had obviously triggered multiple times, it looks like I didn't completely close the filler last time I topped up the boiler.

I immediately switch the heating etc. off and started the drain water from a radiator but have so far hsve removed a couple of ltrs and the dial hasn't moved yet, the boiler is still showing a temp of 59c and the pressure still sitting at 3bar.

The there anything more I can do to get the pressure down.

Thanks in advance.

The little white knod next to the larger key is screwed all the way to the right, if I unscrew it to the left I hear rushing water.

Mains stop cock closed & drained, radiator bleed open for around 10mins, (cant find a drain cock) but no change in the dial, still showing just over 3 bar.

Drained out another couple of ltrs from the radiator.

Possibly a fault in the gauge, due to being overpressuriesed?

The PRV has not fired again as the area under it is dry.

I will perhaps needs to get a plumber in tomorrow.
