I find that when my water heats up on my boiler I can hear banging noises in the pipes. It can also sound like popping noises. When the burners stop heating the water the sound stops. I also find when the boiler is on water and heating there does not seem to as much noise..I have had suggestions that it may be kettling, I'm not sure what this is or how to stop it, Any sugegstions.

Check that the pump is spinning

if you do a search on Pumps sure you will find how to free one up

Pump is fine, the problem mainly happens when it is on water only and this does not a pump as it is on a gravity fill.

Good link kevplumb.........I`ve found that their boiler noise silencer is very good too  Have used it on 3 old cast iron kettlers
