Hello, I have a Suprima boiler, and a Boliermate 111 tank.

The thermostat in the hall is off,
The boiler is off
The radiators are on,
The tank has been seemingly on from 9pm last night
I have the analog clock on the thank set to constant (always have)

but since last night the tank has been making all that i can describe as working noises (I'm no plumber), meaning that it is not making any noises it has never made before, but this time it just has not stopped.

I don't know what is wrong and i am worried that this will be costing me lots in bills.

Any help on this matter would be a great help
Thanks
Jhon

I would recommend that you get a competent boiler engineer to diagnose and repair the problem.

I dont know what a boilermate is, but if it is some kind of cylinder or store, and you mean that it is constantly in a heating cycle, I would suppose that either hot water is being used through a leak or running tap, or the thermostat has failed and is constsntly calling for heat.

Its a thermal store heated by the boiler with two pumps and a blending valve on the CH outlet and a modulated pump and plate HE for the water.

The store temperature sensor may have failed and creating a permanent demand for heat from the boiler.

Apart from Mike Bryant not that many like to work on them!
