i agree, if cleaning is all it needs. ive found from experience if the BM has blocked its cold feed its generally a complete waste of time thereafter. i realise the OP hasnt mentioned this at all but my reasoning for replacing it was throwing good after bad, again from experience.
texas bob is the best for inhibitor and a good mate, i couldnt possibly think of another supplier.

Yes I agree about the warnings, that is what I have done, uneducated am I, well I completed a 5 year apprenticeship, and have been in the heating industry for 28 years, I have been on numerous boiler manufacturers courses, too many to mention, including training in Holland on one particular boiler, I have been trained in Germany on thermal solar, I am gas qualified and Hetas trained, I have received specialist controls training in Switzerland, I have carried out installations in both domestic and commercial projects, plumbing & heating, heat pumps, wood pellet boilers, UFH, wall heating, ceiling heating, heat recovery,rainwater recycling, installed major plant room, such as in hospitals and hotels, also large swimming pool plant rooms, I have trained loads of installers on thermal solar installations. In the past year I have carried out heating and solar installations in, Amman Jordan, Hassi Messaoud Algeria, & Santiago Chile, next year I'm off to do some installation work in South Korea, I'm a member of the CIPHE, IDHEE, I am Gas Safe Registered, I can also verify all of my claims, now, what is YOUR background Morrismini.
You need to be exposed for what you are, an internet trawler, all your suggestions are based on what you have googled on the web, you have never installed a system in your life, so how you have the cheek to try and tell some of the highly qualified installers on this site that they are wrong, is beyond me.

the people who actually work in the industry and post on this forum do so to advise people on their real life day to day experiences of the equipment and systems that are being enquired about. Your method of writing suggests that your limited knowledge is drawn straight from the manufacturers blurb. This is only useful to sales reps and so called "specifiers". You don't seem to understand the relationship between flow rates and corrosion hence you misinterpreted my posts to your own benefit. I'd also like to know how you intend to clean out a boilermate.
I don't know a half of what billybob and DIA do yet I'm confident I know several times more than you. Anyone can read a book.

This forum is full of lunatics. I am the most experienced and knowledgeable person here. That is clear. No one knew how sludge builds up. One said thermal stores generate the sludge. Of course they do. Wow!
The fools who make the noise and clutter the threads with non-constructive posts are all of the same ilk. The panacea to them is a system boiler and unvented cylinder. The makers must give free fleeces with them.
I know not of these others you mention of no doubt who p!ssed off because of the clutter and noise on threads by people who should have been banned a long ago. That includes you.
