I thought the answer would be quite obviously the kettle since it is rated at a higher wattage and thus heat water faster and also cost less as the heat transfer is almost 99% with very little loss of heat and whilst a 900 watt microwave will have less efficiency as not all microwaves can strike the water contained in a cup, so not only would it take longer but also cost a bit more.

to me the only actual facts are what you research and find to be true
yes we can take what others say in general as fairly accurate as we aren't sceptics
but i enjoy checking for my self not to disprove what others say but to correct inaccuracies that have got into folklore over time

had one for years [about 15]from lidl

and yes they are both similarly accurate or inaccurate but i dont plan on getting a third to check :D :wink:
