Bora TDI fuel filter replacement

The new filter is to prime when fitting it.

Can I just pour the diesel from the old filter into the new one?

I appreciate there may some contamination in the old one, just thought it may be practical.

I can always get a liter of fresh at the garage.

No, I'd not do that....there could be contamination or water in the old filter.
The new filter will self prime but it takes a bit of cranking - I use a clean small funnel connected to a length of pipe to help things along.

I can call in and get a drop of diesel at the garage when passing.
