What do you think right wing think tanks do and what their goals are? Recent reports mention that they are USA based. Why do you think they and are their thoughts likely to be directed at the UK's particular problems?

I'm sure there must be left wing think tanks etc or are those ok?

I have no idea why USA think tanks are in the UK, maybe they've seen an opportunity where there policies might help.

I'm not advocating it, just mentioning that in that particular article there doesn't appear to be a great deal wrong.

The Fabians are probably the most 'sinister', they set up The Socialist International Party for the purpose of establishing a world government controlled by international financial interests.
At one time they advocated forced sterilisation and played a large part in the 'lost generations' affair where orphans were shipped out to Oz.

I'm not voting in our local elections, I've no idea who any of the candidates are or what they stand for. Will I complain about the result? No. I've no skin in the game.

Maybe you should say I should find out, but I'd counter if you're standing for election for some public office, you put the work in if you want me to vote for you.

I didn't vote at all during new Labour years as I didn't consider there to be any party worth voting for.
