Bosch jigsaw SDS blade jammed

I have owned a basic DIY Bosch SDS jigsaw for about a year but unfortunately the first blade I put it in has jammed and now the mechanism won't release the blade!
Obviously this is no use as this blade is now blunt and needs changing.
Anyone ever come across this?

try pushing it in hard, flick the sds lever over then pull it out.
