Bosch PSR 1080 charger making strange noise

Hi does anyone know why this charger is making this strange noise. Uploaded a video of the charger on my YouTube channel, the noise is coming from the charger not the battery

Is it actually charging the battery? Sounds like it's faulty. Has it got dust inside it of some kind? Can you unplug it get a Vacuum cleaner and hoover the vents.

Sounds like a battery cooling fan in the charger has got something catching its blades.

The noise has now stopped and the green light is flashing, so I hope this means it is now charging correctly

The instructions will tell you what the lights mean.
If it is still faulty, Bosch are usually good with warranty replacements.

Sounds dodgy to me still, those chargers don't contain a fan, or any moving parts, so could be an arcing noise.

They are very easy to open up and have a look for signs of charred/burnt components, just undo the 5 Phillips (not Pozidriv) screws underneath, flip it back over right side up and lift the top cover off.

Don't open it if its in warranty. Bosch give you 3 years.

Opened up the charger, no arcing and gave it a good clean. It is working fine now battery now charged and no noise.

I personally think the charging light was either loose or there was dust interfering with it, because when it was making a noise the light was flickering.

The green light intermittently goes off & on when it is charging and stays on when it is charged.

The only other problem is I purchased the lastest model Bosch screwdriver with 2 batteries arriving today. I suppose having a backup is always handy.
